Definition 

Cropping pattern may be defined as growing of crops on a land in sequence in a year. 


Major cropping pattern in Bangladesh 

1. Fallow -T. amon ­-Boro rice (Irrigated). 

2. Aus rice ­- T. amon -­ fallow (Rainfed). 

3. Aus rice -­ T. amon ­- wheat (Rainfed). 

4. Jute ­- T. amon ­- lentil (Rainfed). 

5. Fallow ­- Mustard -­ Boro rice (Irrigated). 

6. Fallow -­ Fallow ­- Boro rice (Irrigated).
